2. The majority of the complaints seem to be due to the automatic transmission - which my car specifically does not possess (you might remember me talking about that when I first bought the car)

3. And again, this is a 2017. Significant problems from older years have been dealt with.

Anyways, I just got a call from UPS - the morons at Amazon forgot to give them my apartment number (why the fuck do they demand you put your apartment number on line 2 instead of the front of line 1 if they are not going to use it) So I don't get my painting kit until tomorrow.

If you use a little bit of mineral spirit-based paint thinner mixed in with the paint itself, you can get the touch-up paint to lay flat on the current paint and avoid having to sand it down at all.

I assumed you were just getting one of those Ford touch-up pens.  That's a pretty complete kit.  Good luck!

I just got done paying the stupid tax.  Forgot a retaining plate when I swapped struts on the front of the Z32 and punched the hood as soon as I set the car back on its wheels.

So I bought a quart more of red paint, and reused some more of the gallon of clearcoat I have.  Expensive lesson (about $130 USD for the quart).

Actually I was going to get a touch up pen... Except Canadian tire doesn't carry Z9 and amazon charges $30+30 S+H while this was $50+5 SH. Plus the whole kit is good in case I get a BIG scratch

Anyways... The scratch is all gone now. There's a tiny dimple which I could maybe fill in but nobody's going to see it.


I'm never going through an automatic car wash ever again. I did because there's one right outside my house with the conveyor belt and everything and I haven't ever been in one, but it left grime under my spoiler and around my antennae.

Happy belated birthday!  Sorry to hear about the mugging.  I'm not sure what I'd do if someone tried to mug with a knife.  I guess it would depend on the surroundings.
