It would have been easier to accept if it also came with clear information about its external monitor capabilities.

I'm not entirely sure what point you're trying to make, as i was going to post the exact same thing as a response.
My logic is infallible. Resistance is futile.

Do you? Both manuals are equally useless - just one has to work hard to reaffirm your belief that those thousands of dollars were money well spent, while the other realizes that the only people who will read it are people who don't know how to use a computer.

It's 2018 and Windows still can't properly manage copy 'n' paste. I'm looking at a hard reboot, here, after trying to paste forty-eight-thousand-odd command lines from a text editor into a terminal window.

Oh, and Office 2016 looks like ass. Not only do Microsoft still seem to think applications should look like web sites (because it's the late nineties and the interwebs is the hot new thing, right?!), but they have decided to do so in a colour scheme that is so bland, I can't even tell whether I am looking at my email or a settings dialog.

I've learned to not copy/paste too many cells at a time in a spreadsheet with contextual formatting. Excel will inevitably shit the bed.

I've learned not to use MS Office. I mean, I hate to be the one to say it, but it's true. My personal stuff is plain text, Pages or Textedit. My work stuff is Google Docs. Not that I'd ever recommend anyone use Google Docs.

Same, except my personal stuff is either plain text or LaTeX (for fauncay printing).

For spreadsheets, Google and Excel are about equal, IMO. So, I choose the one that's free to me (and google can sell off my spreadsheets all they want - I don't give a shit who knows my aquarium water parameters or car oil changes).

At home I use LibreOffice. Excel is installed on my work-supplied laptop, so I don't have a choice. Google can lick my (fully intact) scrotum.

Hey my coinpurse is intact.  They did the naughty business through my groin, not my bag.

RE: Every fucking time, without fail...
We recently switched from Lotus Notes to Outlook. Which is a godsent, because Lotus Notes is by far the most user-hostile application I have ever encountered. That said, Outlook is, of course, not without its typical Microsoft retardation.

First off, I can get at my email through three different Outlooks: desktop client, web client, and mobile app. (Well, and through Apple's mobile Mail app, but that is irrelevant to this discussion). When I am sent an email with attachment, I can elect to save it to my OneDrive. It then saves it to a folder on the OneDrive, so far so good. However... it save it to the Attachments folder when I do this from one client; to the Outlook folder when I do it from another, and to the Email attachments folder when I do it from the third. As you can clearly tell from the way I worded this, I have no clue which client uses which folder, so I have to rummage through most of them every time. Nice one, Microsoft.

On the mobile client, by the way, one first has to download the attachment before this functionality is available, pretty much negating whatever advantage it could possibly have over just using the standard routing functionality of my device. Nice.

You want awful, try Microsoft's "Skype for Business" on a mac. From actually receiving a message, it takes a minute to actually open the window. It randomly decides to rejigger my away/busy status, and it constantly uses a whole core of the processor.

It's just SUPER.
