RE: The Mandalorian
This show is surviving purely on the nostalgia factor.
And I’m ok with that.

We bought a Samsung Q90r last Christmas and so far few complaints.
I don’t use the smart features. We watch everything through an AppleTV 4k

It'll be time for me to buy a smart tv at some point, but it's going to have to be on a dead network to prevent ads and all the other BS.

Piece of shit Sony Bravia TV

Catharsis. Let me have it.

Fucking Sony. I knew better. I did.

Right up there with tF's Shitty Motorola.

I wouldn't fuck your TV though.

I'm not buying a new Apple TV at this juncture and I've been holding off for months. The last update was YEARS ago.

But, I'll be the first to buy the new one when it surfaces. Unless they "Tim Cook" it, in which case, I'll invest in some stick or another. ROKU 4EVA!

Much better than my POS LG 65" thinger. However, the LG was only $400 on clearance.

When I was fighting playback issues between different frame rates a while back (which since seem to have been corrected on the AppleTV, or my new TV accounts for it), I bought an Nvidia Shield (the basic one that looks like a tube) and it is a decent little machine. The AI Upscaling is legit good. The UI is... OK. But once I didn't have issue with the frame rates any more I just never went to it again

RE: The Mandalorian
Well, Apple just announced it's "one more thing" event. I can't help but think it's related to Apple One and will include the new AppleTV model.

I guess we'll see.

In the meanwhile, I watched S02E01 in glorious iMac 5k. I enjoyed it. Mostly for the guest star. He's such a bad ass... waaaay more so than the lead.

There were definitely flow issues with the episode.

That was not very enjoyable.

The mis-match between the girl, Carl, and Mando's objective's was not good.

And BTW, she is still very hot, but she has clearly packed on a lot of weight. Still hot though.
