$1349.

I don't know if I can accept that.

And the giant one is $1449.

And what does it do exactly?  Better bokeh?

RE: iPhone XS
Oh... plus $199 for AppleCare or $299 for AppleCare + theft. (that means there's a $269 replacement deductible provided you have Find My Phone activated).

So... $1748?

I just can't even.

Yeah.
A massage doesn't always have to lead to sex, but if it doesn't then you're doing it wrong.

I wonder if they're reaching the outer limits of the demand curve at that price.

RE: iPhone XS
Guess I'll be holding onto my iPhone SE for a little while longer. Price is one factor; the other thing is, I really don't want a monster device. I can operate my SE quite comfortably with one hand, but these larger devices are just way too big for me. My boss has an iPhone 8 Plus, and it's absolutely massive; I hate the size of it. Give me something smaller and cheaper and I'd be in.

And yes, I know Apple is still selling the iPhone 8 and 7 in non-plus sizes, but today they clearly established that X-style iPhones are the future.
There is no dark side of the moon, really…matter of fact, it's all dark.

I had a 3G from 2008-2011, then a 4S from 2011-2017, and a 7S+ since then. I like what I saw, yesterday, but I'm not in the market for a new iPhone for another year or two.

Yeah. I reached a level of satisfaction with the 8 that I don't foresee getting over for some time. I'm just not using my phone for that much. Now, if it can keep a solid bluetooth connection between the AirPods in my ears and the Phone in my pocket, then maybe I should think about it.

RE: iPhone XS
We also have a spare 8 if anyone is interested. The wife up-sized to a plus (which I have to admit grows on me every time I use it) so we have the old 8 64GB hanging out doing nothing. I put a Twilio sim in it for a while but the lustre of having 2 phones is strong at first, but oh so dull after just a few days.

Looks like Delivery times for the XS is September 21rst for the unlocked one, while the Verizon versions along with the XS Maxx unlocked and Verizon versions are 1-2 weeks. I don't know if that compares to earlier iPhone launches or if it's just too soon to tell.

My phone's BT connection drops for a second or two frequently.

While on the phone with AirPods, It drops for a few words, then is fine for a while.  Then does it again.

While driving to work using an Anker bluetooth adapter thing to play music, the music drops for a second after about 2 minutes of playing, and then every so often after that.

It's irritating.

Is that what happens to you?

RE: iPhone XS
Yep. It stutters. Happens the most when the phone is in my front pocket.i move to my back pocket (or breast pocket if I have one) and it’s fine.

I wonder if the signal gets lost in the void where my left teste used to be.

RE: iPhone XS
Mine does it no matter where the device is. Shrug

I convinced myself that it isn't so expensive by pricing a Samsung device. But that Tweet is nicely done.

And I caved because I hate my plus-sized phone. But still.

I'm sure it doesn't match up on some of the more dick-waving specs, but I like it, got a good deal for it, and it takes epic photos. A dedicated monochrome camera is not to be scoffed at.
