I don’t. But I want to RAID0 my dual internal SSD’s and High Sierra cannot be installed to a(n Apple)RAID.

RE: I got a Mac Mini
Is there a systemic reason why that would be the case?

Cuzz Fo Apple.

This implies that it can be done... https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/moj...t-26641599 by those steps give me serious pause as to wether its worth it or not.
I'm happy with a small, fast boot SSD and oodles of fast connected storage (multiple SSDs in a thunderbolt enclosure).

RE: I got a Mac Mini
I've decided to build a Ryzen 7 box and go whole hog on a Linux desktop. I've got a respectable parts list compiled for $1150.
Now just have to decide whether its worth the extra $350 and go all in on a (low end) Core i9 instead.

I'll still have my 2015 laptop which is just fine. So not Mac-less, but going for a desktop that can pull media server duties in the background and compile my shitty java/scala in a reasonable time frame.
