RE: Have YOU installed Catalina yet?
I'm starting to see a pattern emerge.
A massage doesn't always have to lead to sex, but if it doesn't then you're doing it wrong.

Is your Time Machine drive connected via a 5400 baud modem?

Just turned my external backup drive on, connected over USB 3.0:

We'll see how this goes.

Finished last night with no problems. It stalled twice to make more room on the drive, but other than that, it's completed just fine. I think you might have a problem with your drive or backup there, roo.
There is no dark side of the moon, really…matter of fact, it's all dark.

Ha! My old backup drive was also DeLorean. Now it's TARDIS.

I guess I'm boring. Mine's just TMStore. Though the router is named Puff the Magic Dragon.

Mine also has a flux capacitor on the icon thanks to OWC.

Mine is called Time Capsule and has a Time Capsule for an icon. I guess I’m even boringer than Gip.

RE: Have YOU installed Catalina yet?
Please note: as I'm still at 11.04GB of 55.20GB, and it's been a solid _week_ I opted to "skip this backup"

Maybe third time is the charm.

RE: Have YOU installed Catalina yet?
Yeah, I might have to. Or replace it. I don't love the idea of deleting my existing backup if the problem persists. Though I will say that since restarting the backup procedure 5 days ago, I've reached 11.08GB. Of course, the total is higher now too: 56.24GB -- I might express that progress as 19% complete.

And, no, it's not lost on my that previously, at 11.04GB of 55.20GB, I was at 20% complete.

This looks like the perfect opportunity to upgrade your backup solution with a new drive. Secure a backup on the new drive, then you can format the old one and see if you can resolve the issue.

RE: Have YOU installed Catalina yet?
There are definitely Time Machine issues. My iMac just reported it “cannot complete backup because the disk is full.” Aren’t you supposed to start cleaning up old crud, then, dumbass?

It’s installing the latest update, now. Let’s see what that brings.
