I still have literally no idea what GPU to pair with the i3 I gave my kids.

I feel crotchety.

I'm going to guess somewhere in between the RX 470 and the GTX 1070. Really, just figure out what games they like and see what gets at least 60 fps on the monitor resolution they are using.

I built a thing!

It was the first time I've used AN fittings, and now I understand why so many people use them.

Final setup. Got my velocity stacks, got my fuel filter, got all the fittings, all the hose, just need to wrap up three final details - electrical power for the pump, a blockoff plate for my mechanical fuel pump, and insulated hose clamps for the long spans.

1) 90° fitting at the firewall side of the fuel rail.
2) need to shorten the throttle shaft.

Legend tells of an ancient carmaker who's name is rumored to be "Nissan" who created the Datsun name to explore new markets despite it's fear of tarnishing it's name. When the Datsun name prospered, the Nissan name grew jealous and killed the Datsun and took it's markets for it's own.

Because they had no experience in the American market, Nissan rebranded themselves as Datsun, so that, in case of failure, the brand wouldn't be damaged.

In 1985, they began a campaign to become Nissan in the USA, so for two years, every car was "Datsun by Nissan".

RE: Attention whore thread
Need a few different fittings to finish it up right (and eliminate the long runs), but for now it's good, and I'll probably wire up the fuel pump tomorrow, once I have the wherewithal to cut open my harness and find a switched power wire.

Interestingly, the original fuel return line is like 4mm instead of 6mm like it should be, so I used the tank vent line (actually 6mm) on the other side, and I'll swap lines back at the tank so the (new) fuel return actually returns to the tank instead of the vent tank up above the fuel tank.

lol, I'm looking for that rubber thing of hex key bits to put them away right now.  They fell into a crevice.

Had the wiring harness in and out to run the trigger wire, but now the trigger wire's run up to the fuel pump relay, and there's a couple new fused +12V connections down to the starter (the positive lug in the engine bay, since I moved the battery into the trunk), for both the relay and some new headlights (I've been deferring that for a while now, swapping in some 7" Hella E-code halogen headlights in place of the stock shit sealed beams).

Done fixed up the tubes and stuff.

Got the headlights in, got the relay sub-harness made, got the initial cut at running, then ordered 50F9 idle jets to replace the 45F9 jets in 'em from the builder.

Before I got them, they'd been sitting on a shelf for a while, so I had to coax them back to life, and the needle valve in the middle carb's float chamber was very firmly stuck for some reason. But all that's fixed now, and it mostly runs, except for the flat spot at around 2500 where the carbs should smoothly pass from the progression circuit to the main circuit (it leans out and bogs). But that's what the richer idle jets are for.

I just built a small furnace to melt aluminum, so that I can cast neat things for my Z.

First thing will be an overflow for the radiator.

I don't have a stock plastic overflow.

I don't have any overflow at the moment.

But this gives me an excuse to play with fire, and do neat stuff.

Just wondering. Play with fire all you want! (Not that you need my permission)

Just be sure to post pics of the carnage.

No fuel injection option? Carb adjustment and/or maintenance is one thing I don't miss from my older cars.

I don't want fuel injection.  I've got several fuel injected cars, so it's not like I'm some kind of a luddite, but I do enjoy the analog experience of an old vintage sports car.
