I hear there's stuff to do there.

How's that bike?

I do have to admit, though, that I secretly hope that our TV will die. Just for the sheer fact that a larger one would look better in the room.

RE: My tv is dead
After chatting with the fizzwinkus about it (and a bit of research), I know that the plasma did not "leak out." This was a sudden failure. There was no gradual degradation. Besides, each cell is sealed. It CAN'T all leak out. I confess my ignorance in this area.

So in the case of the tv "repair" people: SHENANIGANS, HIJINKS AND TOMFOOLERY

They suggested that I just leave the tv there and they would dispose of it properly. Dispose of, I expect in this case, means repair it for very little cost and resell it, making a nice, fat profit from a "broken" set the I paid them $30 to take off my hands.

Nice scam.

Be sure to get a led set with good local dimming. Makes a huge difference.

I cannot wait until OLED is affordable and they get color good. I have a Sony nx line set and its awesome, some overstocks can be found online fwiw.

Thanks to the largesse, sneakiness, collusion and rampant shenanigans of my gal and best bud (under the guise of an "early berfday present") I have a shiny, new RCA 46" LED. Wuv

I picked up the deaded set and they maintained that the plasma leaked out. I haven't cracked it open yet to see if they scavenged it for replacement parts.

She can barely handle me and fizzy in the same room. This place would send her completely round the bend.

I think I'll be fine, unless her passport's up to date and she has air miles.
