RE: What the new iPad design is still missing
Well this would be another moment to remind you I am complaining about shitty stereo speaker placement, not theater sound you dumb appletarded fuck holes.

The devices primary orientation is, and has always been portrait DUE TO THAT FUCKING HOME BUTTON.

Because touchscreen devices need buttons, apparently. MOAR DESIGN FAIL.

But really, the fact that I can buy the new Asus Memo FHD and a PS Vita for the price of the iPad Air is probably the real issue.

You're right in that your complaints are misguided. You're wrong in that... you're still wrong.

The screen rotates, so should the sound.

I am correct and anyone who disagrees is appletarded.

Why not just buy a device without a physical home button? Problem solved.

You know what also sucks? When I'm listening to music in stereo, and I turn around, the channels are flipped! What gives?

No, the channels are not flipped. #TARDFAIL

This is a much more reasonable complaint. Regardless of your feelings on TouchId it's silly that they'd let the iPads and iPhones get so out of sync with this one.

Perhaps it's because an iPad can be seen as a "family" device, while an iPhone is almost always personal? TouchId supports multiple prints though (right?), so that shouldn't be a problem.

Do I need to draw a diagram?

The iPad should go multi-user and use TouchID to distinguish between users.

I'm skipping this generation, even though I have an iPad 3, which is apparently the bastard on iPad Apple wish they never had. The new Mini is enticing, though. As are the new MacBooks. And I am struggling to resist updating to Mavericks immediately.

RE: What the new iPad design is still missing
ok, I've had a couple drinks.

So, I really like the new iPad except for one thing. The border is too small. my iPad 2 is a good weight, and the border is wide enough that my human sits on it well. The iPads after mine were too heavy, so I. glad they stopped that "let's make it heavier" bullshit, but I don't know about that border.

I'm guessing he's not too fond of auto-correct either. ;)

Yeah thin bezels are very I don't know. My mini would be used more in landscape IF THE SPEAKERS WERE ORIENTED THAT WAY, also giving me luxurious room for my thumbs (humans). My iPad 2's mono speaker is looking like engineering brilliance to me at this point. But I am of the opinion that the touch sensitivity is for shit near the edges on the mini to deflect the "accidental" touches. Same with my iPhone. Seems the refresh button on the browser and the iPod controls are less responsive then they should be.
