All of this sounds like an awesome idea and a worthwhile endeavour.

It is pretty sweet.

Just out of curiosity how much have you spent for your computer, including monitors and all?

RE: PLEASE NOTE: NEW PC
Which computer? I own a 2011 MacBook Air and a 2011 Mac Mini that I bought off of my brother-in-law. When I need a monitor, I connect it to the TV.

Is there a point to your question?

RE: PLEASE NOTE: NEW PC
I spend a lot on computers when I need to.

RE: PLEASE NOTE: NEW PC
Anyways my old motherboard was returned without a hitch and I'm being refunded.

However, Thursday I decided to buy a new videocard (a 1070 Ti) and noticed too late that it's 15mm too long for my case Goth so I have to wait for it to come in the mail then send it right back again.
