iCloud Drive
I have no idea when it got turned on. But I want to turn off most of it. Specifically the Desktop and Documents backup. But this scares the shit out of me. When I go to deselect the sync option for Desktop and Documents I get:

Quote:If you continue, items will be removed from the Desktop and the Documents folder on this Mac and will remain available in iCloud Drive.

So if I deselect this my desktop and documents will be wiped out? Holy shit, Apple... No. Just turn off the sync. Let me deal with what's on the laptop. Fucking hell that's scary. Also, now I need to move everything from those two locations so that I can turn it off.

Well, at least I figured out my bluetooth problem. Well, sort of.
I think the iPhone just hates these headphones. I had them synced just to the iPhone. Stutter city. I had them synced to both the phone and the laptop. Stu-stu-stutter. I then only connect to the laptop. And... its fine? So the iPhone was just torturing the headphones.

I bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones so I could listen to TV and whatnot on my Mac from my bed. Problem was, they sounded horrible if the noise cancellation wasn't on, and they stuttered like crazy…unusably so. My Logitech MX Master also stuttered horribly when connected via Bluetooth. Oddly enough, my Xbox One controller, also connected via Bluetooth, seems to work without issue.

I'd almost be happier if it sucked consistently.

RE: iCloud Drive
All of my headphones have wires.

iCloud is terrible. I love the idea of it. I love the idea that my contacts are magically synched, but it's duplicated them all at least twice, and nothing is ever where I want it. I refuse to use it for documents or backup. The last thing I'd do is trust it with my actual data.

And I have also received a warning like that. Turning it off will delete your stuff. It's nuts. I have two apple accounts apparently, and it was a giant pain in the ass to get the one I never use to not be the "primary" account. I ended up deleting and re-adding it... but I'm still not terribly content with the whole thing.

I think Apple should separate the iCloud service. Completely and totally separated. Then make an application for it. Mashing it all together is the sort of mess I make fun of.

I want to break that. I love the consistency of wired headphones but I'm Nuke with wires.

I have no good suggestions. Just complaints. Oaf

RE: iCloud Drive
Personally, I'd back up the Desktop/Documents folders first, then turn off syncing. Just make sure you've got it before it's potentially wiped out. I thought it would ask if you would like to keep the local data if there's enough space available, but maybe I'm wrong. Haven't used it myself.

RE: iCloud Drive
I've had my Sennheiser HD 212 Pros for close to ten years now, and I think they still sound fantastic. May have to replace the ear cushions a second time, though. Too bad I can't replace the pad on the headband, since that's starting to flake off and look miserable.

Can't remember if it was the RS 165 or the RS 175 I tried out at the local Worst Buy, but they sounded pretty good. Just wish they weren't so damned expensive.
