RE: The Grand Tour
This week they went to Germany and had a literal arm's race. Ended up blowing up Hammond's "homemade" tank with a ship to land missile.
My logic is infallible. Resistance is futile.

RE: The Grand Tour
Do we really need a weekly summary?
The chaos army seems suspiciously well organized.

No, there wasn't a single missile involved.

RE: The Grand Tour
Riight. It was just an extremely large bullet filled with explosives.
My logic is infallible. Resistance is futile.

It's good.  It's very much Top Gear.  The Stig is gone, and while they've got professional drivers to take up the slack, it's not the same. IMVHO the best part of the Stig was his silence and unwavering, expressionless veneer that was so easy to overdub or write a story about.  But it's not a deal breaker.

But the rest of the show picks up right where Top Gear left off... with Clarkson trash-talking Hammond's Porsche 918.  There are segments that feel forced, but that's OK.  There are still some surprises and a few belly laughs, so it all works out.

I'll watch the next one too, and I'll feel perhaps slightly less guilty... I mean... it's already paid for, right?  I mean, if I were going to make stand, I'd have cancelled Prime. And I didn't.  :emo:

FWIW, Jeremy Clarkson also punched Piers Morgan.

RE: The Grand Tour
Really it's the only show I'm watching on Prime. I did look into High Castle, but only at part of the first episode. In only paying $40 a year for it and mostly just use it for free shipping, so I'm not too concerned about getting my money's worth.
My logic is infallible. Resistance is futile.

Then it kind of balances itself out. :D
