That's not really an excuse. One app shouldn't be able to alter other apps in a truly secure os.

The quality of your christmas present is going to be based on how well you elaborate on this post. It ranges from pretty fucking cool, to shit in a box.

Even with the iPhone each application is in a self-contained package, with restricted access to the filesystem and other system resources. In a well-built OS there should be no way to bypass these restrictions.
My logic is infallible. Resistance is futile.

And the conclusion presents itself: you have no clue about this issue. The trojan does not proliferate on iOS. You did not do your homework, but just spotted the "OMFGz iOS virus!" clickbait headline and jumped to conclusions. Thanks for playing; you lose this round.

I used Apple Pay. I still had to enter my Pin. That was unexpected. But, to be completely honest, I didn't really read up on what the interaction was supposed to be, just on the back end details.

It worked.

Clearly, some blackberry employees need a stash of iPhones to give to their loved ones for Christmas.

There have been some pretty hard-to-forgive gaffes. That said, much of this strikes me as whining from the hipsterish wanna-be underdog crowd. On platform integration, nothing can hold a candle to the Apple ecosystem. And I doubt anything will, for a long while yet.

Nothing is perfect young one. And I beleive the thunderbolt vulnerability has been around for a while. I recall that there is some kind of equivalent attack over USB 3.

yeah, that thing better be advertised to last for like 3 days (and actually last 1.5) so it's actually useful.

Not that I'm buying one anyway. At least not now. I unlocked my 5. Gonna rock that sans contract for a while.
